Momart, specialist art storage and transport service, are currently working in Devon with the Plymouth Museum and Art Gallery to move all of the exhibits out. This is called the decant. Next, the exhibits are safely stored. And this will be until 2020 when the newly extended History Centre is ready. When the building work is complete, the exhibits will return.

In our video, Momart specialists wrap some of Plymouth Museum’s most precious exhibits. Mummies, originating from Ancient Egypt-Thebes to be precise. It’s a careful process. the mummies have lasted thousands of years. and Mozart needs to be sure that it lasts thousands more.
